Homestay
Live with a Ghanaian family
Experience Ghana from the inside — sharing meals, stories, and daily life with a local host family arranged by Aya Centre.
A deeper immersion
Family-based living for a richer Ghana experience
For groups and individuals who want more than a guesthouse, Aya Centre arranges homestay placements with carefully selected Ghanaian families in the Greater Accra area.
Living with a host family gives participants direct access to Ghanaian language, food, customs, and daily rhythms that no classroom or hotel stay can replicate. It is one of the most effective ways to develop genuine cultural understanding during a stay in Ghana.
Aya Centre handles all logistics — matching participants with suitable families, briefing both parties, and remaining available as a point of contact throughout the placement.
Homestays can be combined with any Aya Centre programme — seminars, service learning, community service, or research support — and arranged for any duration.
